"Lift" was built at a residency where, because of my inability to transport heavy materials, I chose to explore paper. The process of rolling it out over and over again, along with the accumulation of rolls into an ever-widening nest/cathedral form is what I decided the piece is about; process, accumulation, and working within limits.
						One of the inspirations for this sculpture was the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain.
